The Office of Student Conduct advances these goals by educating students about their rights and responsibilities as members of the community, administering and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct, and providing victim services as well as providing training and consultation to the institution.

OSU has a strong and nationally recognized Student Conduct program. OSU’s Office of Student Conduct was awarded ASCA’s 2010 Award of Excellence for significant institutional contributions to the field of student conduct administration. We are involved in ASCA and home to former ASCA President Dr. Lee Bird (OSU VP for Student Affairs). Our Back on TRAC program is one of only a handful of programs in the country at a postsecondary institution to address alcohol and drug issues in the comprehensive way that we do.

 

Student Conduct Education and Administration has a new position for a Prevention Specialist.

Prevention Specialist

The Prevention Specialist oversees Oklahoma State University's 1 is 2 Many campaign that it is fulfilling its purpose to educate students, spread awareness, an prevent sexual violence.  This position functions as a programming manager; a liaison between student groups, staff, and faculty; and a resource for students affected by sexual violence. This position will develop and utilize evidence-informed educational outreach programs for the campus community. Additionally, this position will have direct contact with students as a case manager for the Back on TRAC program, a drug and alcohol treatment program.

Assistant Coordinator of Student Conduct Education and Administration

The Assistant Coordinator of Student Conduct plays a key role in the Office of Student Conduct and has many responsibilities including: holding students accountable for nonacademic behavior which violates Oklahoma State University's Student Code of Conduct, while preserving students' rights; through evaluation, referral, and educational intervention, provide guidance to students who face corrective action encouraging them to change their behavior and develop their abilities to make new future choices; serving as a resource person to administrators, faculty, staff and students regarding general and special conduct issues; and assisting in ensuring university-wide compliance to the policies and procedures contained in the Student Code of Conduct
